Anthony M. Gordon, CPA
Tony was born May 10, 1944 in London, England. He married Susan A. Goren in 1968. They were divorced in 1994. Tony emigrated to the U.S. in December, 1968. He lived in Brooklyn, NY until 1970, then moved to Denver, Colorado.
Tony graduated with a B.S. from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado in 1975, and became a Certified Public Accountant in July, 1977. He moved to Delmar, NY in August, 1981 and opened his private practice, dealing mainly with taxation.
Tony has 2 children: Merlyn S. Gordon, currently living in Montana with his wife, Stephani, and Samantha Y. Gordon, currently living on the open sea ! He now has twin granddaughters - Sasha Clementine and Piper Rain - both born in 2010.
Tony met his longtime companion, Robert D. vanCourt in 1993. They were married in 2009 and Tony inherited two additional children, Elizabeth Van Court of Schenectady, NY and David Van Court of Santa Monica, CA, one step-daughter, Professor Sandra K. Winn of Voorheesville, NY and three grandchildren, Evan Van Court-Wels, Julian Van Court-Wels and Jocelyn Marden.
Tony served on the Boards of various charitable organizations, notably the Albany Damien Center, Inc., as well as the AIDS Council of Northeastern NY and the Albany-Schenectady League of Arts.
